Report: Kemoeatu visiting Redskins Tuesday
The Washington Redskins will host defensive tackle Ma’ake Kemoeatu for a free-agent visit on Tuesdsay in Ashburn, Va.
The Carolina Panthers let Kemoeatu go last week. He is still rehabilitating his way back from a torn Achilles tendon suffered on the first day of training camp last summer. Kemoeatu could play nose tackle in the 3-4 scheme that the Redskins are expected to shift to under new defensive coordinator Jim Haslett.
Kemoeatu has been a model of durability previously in his career. He missed a total of just five games in the seven seasons prior to last year. It’s believed that the New Orleans Saints may also have interest in him.
