Report: Lions CB King suspended for one game
Detroit Lions cornerback Eric King spent the second half of the season on injured reserve after suffering a shoulder injury in a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he forfeited his game check for the season finale against the Chicago Bears, Jan. 3.
John Niyo of the Detroit News reports that King was suspended for one game for “an alcohol-related violation of law” an NFL spokesman said. King was signed to a $4 million, two-year contract before the season.
The Lions did not comment on the matter and probably will not as it falls under the league’s substance-abuse policy.
