Report: Lions get a date in prime time
Detroit must be making a comeback.
It has caught the attention of the nation.
The Lions have been selected to appear on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” for the first time in a decade, according to a report by Mike O’Hara of Fox Sports Detroit. Detroit will host the Chicago Bears at Ford Field on Monday, Oct. 10.
The Lions have not been on in prime time since Week 3 of the 2001 season when they were steamrolled 35-0 by the St. Louis Rams in the final season at the Pontiac Silverdome.
The complete NFL schedule will be released at 7 p.m. EDT.
