Report: Lions will bring in CB Wade for visit

After a formidable start to free agency for the Detroit Lions – they signed defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch and wide receiver Nate Burleson at the outset – the team is looking for some more modest additions.

To that end, cornerback Jonathan Wade is expected to make a free-agent visit on Monday, according to Tom Kowalski of MLive.com.

Wade was a third-round draft pick by the St. Louis Rams in 2007. He was let go by the Rams and doesn’t project as a starter for a defense in need at the position. The Lions released Phillip Buchanon and Will James and Anthony Henry are exiting in free agency. But as Kowalski notes, Wade could add some depth to the roster.
