Report: Logan Mankins, Vincent Jackson part of hangup

New England Patriots guard Logan Mankins and San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson, two of the parties in Tom Brady’s lawsuit against the NFL, are seeking $10 million each in compensation to settle the matter, according to a report.

Mike Freeman of CBS Sports says the two players are looking for a payoff although he acknowledged Jackson has denied doing so. Lawyers representing the two players want them paid because of damages they have suffered in the last several years.

This, per Freeman, is part of the holdup as the NFL owners and players try to settle a more than four-month lockout in the 11th hour in order for most training camps to open on time. Freeman speculates both players will drop their claims sometime Thursday. Of course, Jackson has already denied this.
