Report: Marketing a holdup in Luck deal
One of the sticking points that is preventing Andrew Luck's rookie contract from getting done may be a marketing clause, says the Sports Xchange's Len Pasquarelli.
As the first overall pick, Luck certainly could be in line to be a marketing goldmine if he lives up to the hype that surrounds him. But the Colts have already been down that path with Peyton Manning, whom some players felt was overexposed in commercials and promotions by the league.
One source told Pasquarelli that Luck would have to clear any marketing opportunites with the Colts, if Indianapolis gets its way in the negotiations.
That is not something the Luck camp is likely to look favorably upon.
