Report: Matt Hasselbeck can't go home to Seahawks
Matt Hasselbeck is officially looking for a new home now.
According to Danny O'Neil of the Seattle Times, the veteran quarterback will not return to the Seattle Seahawks, a franchise he once led to the Super Bowl. Where he lands remains a good question right now, and it’s going to be very interesting to see what Seattle does to replace him.
The Seahawks are believed to be competing with the NFC West rival Arizona Cardinals for Kevin Kolb, who the Philadelphia Eagles are diligently working to trade. Whichever team doesn’t land Kolb will likely be relegated to an older option and one with less upside.
Meanwhile, Hasselbeck could be in play for the Cardinals and the Tennessee Titans are making a strong push for his services. If he doesn’t go there, the Kolb trade might have to go down first before we can determine where he’ll land.
