Report: Max Starks visiting Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings are kicking the tires of veteran offensive tackle Max Starks to see if he has anything left to aid their struggling unit.
Tom Pelissero of ESPN 1500 reports that Starks is visiting the team today. The Pittsburgh Steelers cut loose the veteran in July. He had neck surgery last season and was placed on injured reserve in November.
Starks, who started 68 games for the Steelers, does have experience and if healthy maybe he could provide a boost. Per the report, Charlie Johnson has struggled to replace Bryant McKinnie at left tackle and Phil Loadholt is coming off a rough game at right tackle. Of course, Starks will have to pass a physical with his neck.
