Report: Michael Crabtree tried to fight Richard Sherman last summer

It appears there's more than meets the eye in the now-public Richard Sherman-Michael Crabtree feud.

After Seattle's 23-17 win over San Francisco, with Sherman tipping a pass intended for Crabtree to Malcolm Smith for the game-winning interception.

Sherman then infamously gave a post-game interview to FOX reporter Erin Andrews, in which he called Crabtree a "sorry receiver."

Public opinion swayed both ways with an immediate reaciton, though now there appears to be more to the backstory.

At a charity event Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald hosted a year ago, Sherman allegedly approached Crabtree to shake his hand. According to the Seattle Times, which talked to Sherman's brother Branton Sherman, Crabtree became somewhat hostile toward Richard Sherman.

The Seahawks cornerback then vowed to "make a play and embarrass him."

It's certainly a moment sports fans won't forget. And to think, there's still two weeks before the Super Bowl.
