Report: Michael Vick cancels appearance with Oprah

Michael Vick won’t be going mainstream.

Not on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” anyway.

The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback was scheduled to appear on the show and submit to an interview with Winfrey, but that appearance was cancelled by Vick, according to CNBC reporter Darren Rovell.

Vick made news on Wednesday when the Eagles placed the exclusive franchise tag on their quarterback.

“Good move by Vick,” Rovell wrote on his Twitter feed. “Don't think he had anything to gain by going on Oprah. He's done a noble PR job this year & doesn't need her help.”

No word why Vick backed out of the interview.
