Report: Michael Vick paid off his largest creditor

Michael Vick did the time for his crime and now he’s paying off those he owes money.

Vick, who was massively in debt when he returned to the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2010, has paid off his largest creditor. According to Darren Rovell of CNBC, Vick paid agent Andrew Joel $6 million, money Joel never expected to see fully.

That’s what can happen when a player gets a $100 million contract, even if the deal is structured in such a way that Vick will never earn nearly all that money. Vick owed roughly $20 million to creditors after his bankruptcy. A plan was established in which a portion of his earnings would go to re-paying the debt. If the largest creditor has been satisfied, it stands to reason Vick is making good progress.
