Report: Mid-field collision leaves Mike Shanahan woozy

The rules are very clear for offseason workouts that contact is not permitted.

But when you’ve got football players running around, competing for jobs, sometimes collisions happen.

In the instance of one run-in this morning in Washington, the coach was involved. According to Mike Jones of the Washington Post, Redskins coach Mike Shanahan was “woozy” after he was knocked down in a mid-field collision involving a wide receiver and a defensive back.

As a result of the collision, Shanahan will not address media today. Hopefully, the coach will be fine soon and the collisions will be limited. The last thing any team needs is a player – or a coach – getting knocked out during voluntary offseason workouts.
