Report: Mike Smith still experiencing chest discomfort
Atlanta Falcons coach Mike Smith is continuing to experience “chest-related discomfort” according to a report and will undergo additional tests later this week.
Len Pasquarelli of The Sports XChange reported that Smith, 52, could have additional tests as soon as Friday after the Falcons host the Jacksonville Jaguars tonight at the Georgia Dome.
Smith was hospitalized briefly in Charlotte, N.C., on Sunday night after the team’s victory over the Carolina Panthers. He experienced chest pains but doctors said he did not suffer a heart attack. Smith returned to work Monday afternoon and has been leading the team in preparations for the game.
