Report: NFL will have full slate of games on Christmas Eve '11

With Christmas Day falling on a Sunday next year, the NFL is expected to play a full slate of games on Dec. 24.

Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times reports that while the vast majority of games will be played on Christmas Eve, a game or two could be scheduled for Christmas Day.

The last time Christmas fell on a Sunday, in 2005, the NFL played 13 games on Dec. 24, two on Christmas and then had one “Monday Night Football” game.

Per Farmer, the Christmas Sunday before that came in 1994. All but one game was played on a Saturday that year.
