Report: Norv Turner finalizes deal with Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings have reached a deal with Norv Turner to become their new offensive coordinator, according to CBS Sports.

Turner has been a head coach for 15 seasons.

He was the Cleveland Browns' offensive coordinator last season.

"I think there's a good chance it's going to happen," Turner told the Pioneer Press on Thursday. "I think it will be resolved in the next day or two. ... We've had great conversations (Turner and Zimmer). I think a lot of Mike."

Turner has an overall head-coaching record of 114-122-1 with three teams.

In Minnesota, Turner inherits a quarterback issue and the 23rd-ranked passing offense.

The Vikings do have star running back Adrian Peterson.

The Vikings could be in the market for a new quarterback, though.
