Report: O'Brien to take Penn State job

New England Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien has agreed to become the next coach at Penn State, according to ESPN.com.

O'Brien interviewed for the position on Thursday, his agent, Joe Linta confirmed.

Penn State's football job has been vacant for approximately two months now since Joe Paterno was let go in November in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky sex scandal.

The Patriots, as the AFC's top seed, are on a bye this weekend in the playoffs.
