Report: Pacman has 2nd workout with Bengals
Pacman Jones’ quest to get back in the NFL is getting a boost today as the Cincinnati Bengals have brought him in for a second workout, John Clayton of ESPN is reporting.
The Bengals and Detroit Lions have long been considered the two most likely destinations for Jones, and it was thought that once the draft wrapped up the veteran might be able to find a home. It hasn’t been easy but this is clearly a good step for him.
Cincinnati addressed the need for depth at the position by drafting Wake Forest’s Brandon Ghee in the third round, but Jones adds value as a potential return man. The NFL has cleared Jones for a full return to action. Cincinnati has a history of taking chances on players with suspect pasts and Jones would be another reclamation project for coach Marvin Lewis.
