Report: Panthers give QB Moore highest tender
Nothing is going to get in the way of the quarterback competition the Carolina Panthers are planning on staging between Jake Delhomme and Matt Moore.
Will nothing in the form of an offer sheet from another team.
The Panthers made certain of that this afternoon when they tender an offer to Moore, a restricted free agent, at the highest possible level – a first- and third-round draft pick. That means Moore will earn $3.043 million this season, according to Charles Chandler of the Charlotte Observer.
Carolina plans to have the veteran Delhomme and Moore battle for the job starting this spring.
