Report: Penn gets high tender from Buccaneers
INDIANAPOLIS--Donald Penn will not be walking the plank out of Tampa Bay.
The Buccaneers made sure of that as they placed the highest tender on the left tackle, who will be a restricted free agent. The Bucs will require first- and third-round draft picks as compensation for Penn if a team tries to sign him away, according to Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network. That right there ensures that Penn will not be leaving.
The sides have worked on a longterm extension but nothing has happened at this point.
