Report: Percy Harvin could return tonight

The Minnesota Vikings figured and hoped that Brett Favre would return after the team got back to its headquarters in Eden Prairie following training camp in Mankato.

Before they hear anything on No. 4, they might get a player back they didn’t expect to miss nearly all of camp. Wide receiver Percy Har vin, who has been missing since Aug. 1 following the death of his grandmother and then what was reported to be another bout with migraines, should be back soon.

In fact, Len Pasquarelli of CBS Sports reports that Harvin could return tonight. The Vikings sent him a “five-day letter” but that was done to open up a roster spot. Still, the Vikings have been somewhat in the dark on Harvin’s absence and there is an element to the two-week departure that some find a little mystifying.

Coach Brad Childress has tired of inquiries about the whereabouts of Harvin. Soon, perhaps he will not have to deal with them.
