Report: Rams will interview Saints assistant Aaron Kromer
Perhaps the St. Louis Rams sense that the chances they will land Jeff Fisher are slipping as the club continues to extend his search for a head coach.
It was reported earlier today that the Rams have received permission to interview Carolina Panthers head coach Rob Chudzinski. Now, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Rams have also received permission to meet with New Orleans Saints assistant coach Aaron Kromer.
Kromer has been with the Saints since 2008 and previously has worked for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders, serving as an offensive line coach at those previous stops. He is the running game coordinator and offensive line coach for New Orleans.
While Fisher is still in play for the Rams, they clearly are developing a fallback plan and doing so quickly. The Dolphins have also interviewed a variety of candidates. Some reports indicate Fisher could pick a team as early as today.
