Report: Ray Edwards unhappy with RFA status

Ray Edwards doesn’t want to go before commissioner Roger Goodell for any disciplinary reasons any time soon.

If he does, he’ll find out quickly what kind of juice those who “push a pen” for a living can wield. The Minnesota Vikings defensive end popped off to the Minneapolis Star Tribune on his expected status as a restricted free agent, caught in the labor battle between the players and owners, and wound up questioning Goodell’s salary.

“I don't see him out there getting hit or nothing like that," Edwards told the Star-Tribune. "The commissioner makes $9 million, so you tell me where the balance is? He doesn't put his life on the line, he pushes a pen."
