Report: Redskins not wavering on price for Haynesworth
Unless another team steps up in trade talks and meets the price Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan is asking for defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, the $100 million man will be staying put this season.
Jason Reid of the Washington Post reports that Shanahan is steadfast in his demands for Haynesworth, and apparently the price is higher than a fourth-round draft pick that the Tennessee Titans have reportedly offered.
The trade deadline is quickly approaching on Oct. 19, just after the Week 6 games. Something could materialize before then but as Reid details, Shanahan doesn’t waver once he sets a value for a player on the open market.
Haynesworth was held out of last Sunday’s game with the Houston Texans and it’s believed an ankle issue sidelined him. He is expected to play this week at St. Louis. The Haynesworth situation is consistently changes. It’s impossible to say where it will be next week.
