Report: Sam Bradford tore left ACL

Rams quarterback Sam Bradford's days could be numbered.

According to ESPN on Sunday, the former first-overall pick did in fact tear his left ACL. This is the same ACL he tore a season ago.

This hurts a Rams squad that had looked improved offensively during the preseason. For now, Shaun Hill will step in as the team's starter.

Of course, there's plenty of time for the organization to work a trade with another team. Two options that exist are trading for Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder or for Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez. Both of those guys, while flawed, have starting experience and are in backup roles at the moment.

Bradford has been injured for much of his NFL career. You have to wonder if this could conclude his tenure in the league.
