Report says Bowe won't sign tender today
Earlier today, there was a report on ProFootballTalk.com that Kansas City Chiefs franchised wide receiver Dwayne Bowe might sign the tender offer just before the draft.
The logic was, according to the speculation, that it would prevent the Chiefs from drafting a receiver in the first or second round, deciding that Bowe was no longer worth $9.5 million for 2012 and rescind the tender offer.
Now, Jason LaCanfora of NFL.com is refuting that speculation, citing a source that says Bowe won't be signing the tender offer today. He has until July 16 to sign a contract extension or play for the tender amount.
