Report: Sims-Walker resurfaces with Jaguars
Mike Sims-Walker wasn't out of work very long.
According to Tania Ganguli of the Jacksonville Times-Union, Sims-Walker is making a return trip to Jacksonville, where he will re-sign with the Jaguars. (UPDATE: National Football Post has been told that Sims-Walker is indeed re-signing in Jacksonville, confirming the earlier report).
A league source indicated to NFP that three teams had expressed interest in Sims-Walker, who was released by St. Louis on Monday after the Rams acquired Brandon Lloyd from Denver.
Sims-Walker had been a productive receiver for the Jaguars the past two seasons, but was not re-signed as a free agent once the lockout ended. His best season came in 2009 when he caught 63 passes for 869 yards for the Jags. Sims-Walker has just 11 catches this season, and was a healthy scratch in the Rams' loss Sunday to Green Bay.
