Report: Tebow was hospitalized
MOBILE, Ala.—It wasn’t exactly a triumphant return from illness like Michael Jordan used to pull in the playoffs, but Tim Tebow answered the bell at the South’s practice this afternoon at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
After a sparsely attended morning session, fans showed up in droves to see Tebow and the South squad and he was on the field despite being hospitalized Monday night, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
He was taken in for treatment for strep throat.
“He’s been sick for two days,” Tebow’s agent Jimmy Sexton told Thomas. “He had a 103 temperature.”
Tebow looked indecisive at times when primary reads were not open downfield, but moved well to his left and threw the ball OK. He fumbled one center exchange, and that is going to be an issue for someone who spent his career playing in the shotgun.
