Report: There is already some interest in Flozell The Hotel

Flozell Adams’ agent indicated on Friday when the veteran was cut loose by the Dallas Cowboys after 12 seasons that his client intended to continue playing.

Maybe he will have a new team sooner rather than later, although we tend to think a decision might not be made for Adams until after the draft at this point. Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that Jordan Woy says three teams have already called to show interest in Adams, who has been to five Pro Bowls, but looked to regress this past season in Dallas, the primary reason why he was let go.

Adams turns 35 next month. It could be the best-case scenario for him is a situation where he is a short-term solution for a team looking to groom a younger player. That is what the Chicago Bears did this past season with Orlando Pace. He got a three-year deal from the Bears that turned into one year as they released him in. But he was a stop-gap measure as the club waited to bring former first-round draft pick Chris Williams along at left tackle. If Adams is open to that kind of work, he may land somewhere before the month is out. Stay tuned.
