Report: T-Jack gets low level tender
The restricted free agent tender offers continue to fly with more than 200 additional players in that designation for this year because of the labor showdown.
The latest is that Minnesota Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, presumably the starter if Brett Favre does not return at age 40, has been tendered at a third-round level, according to Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network.
Jackson was originally a second-round draft pick, but because he will earn only $1.176 million this season, the Vikings will receive only a third-round draft pick in exchange for him if he is signed away to an offer sheet. We don’t see that happening.
Now, if the Vikings could only get an answer on Favre.
