Report: Tony Wyllie takes top PR post with Redskins
That didn’t take long.
The Washington Redskins announced on Tuesday that Karl Swanson, the longtime PR man for owner Daniel Snyder, one of the of the few employees at Redskins Park who has been present since Snyder purchased the club in 1999, was leaving.
Today, Tony Wyllie has accepted the position. Wyllie will become a senior vice president for the Redskins, and he leaves the Houston Texans where he was considered one of the most thorough and professional PR men in the league.
The addition of Wyllie will no doubt help the Redskins organization, particularly if he has more of a hand in day-to-day operations than Swanson did.
