Report: T.O.'s assistant suspected suicide attempt
Police reports indicate Terrell Owens attempted suicide as a member of the Dallas Cowboys in 2006 when he famously had “25 million reasons” to be alive.
Now, TMZ.com reports the free-agent wide receiver was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital Oct. 6 after Owens’ personal assistant said he tried to … commit suicide.
Owens was hospitalized for a potential pill overdose, per the report. The 911 dispatcher asked the assistant if it was a potential suicide attempt?
“Yes, I believe so,” the assistant responded.
Owens’ people have declined comment to TMZ. Owens held a private workout on Tuesday for cameras as no NFL teams showed up. The 37-year-old is hoping to find work but a market has yet to materialize for him.
