Report: Ware to be game-time decision for Dallas

DeMarcus Ware is expected to be a game-time decision for the Dallas Cowboys when they try to give their fading NFC playoff hopes a boost at New Orleans on Saturday night.

Ware was held out of practice on Thursday but did do some work on the side, according to the Dallas Morning News, four days after he was carted off the field in the Cowboys’ loss to San Diego when he suffered a neck injury.

Ware has not missed a game in five seasons, and Dallas will need to get after Saints quarterback Drew Brees in the Superdome to have a chance at spoiling the Saints’ run for a perfect regular season. Ware leads the defense with nine sacks.

"He's a freak, and he heals quickly," linebacker Keith Brooking said. "He's a warrior. We know if he's able to go out there, even in a lesser role, he's going to be out there fighting for this team."
