Reports: Jaguars to be sold to Shahid Khan

Jack Del Rio's firing Tuesday morning isn't the biggest news coming out of Jacksonville regarding the Jaguars.

ESPN first reported the news, and multiple outlets are now reporting that the Jaguars will be sold to Shahid Khan, who tried unsuccessfully to purchase the St. Louis Rams last year. Wayne Weaver has owned the franchise since is entry into the league in 1995.

The first question with the franchise being sold is whether or not the team, which has struggled with attendance problems over the years, will remain in Jacksonville. The word now is that it will, but with out-of-town ownership coming in, talk of relocation to Los Angeles or elsewhere won't be going away anytime soon.

There have been questions for years regarding the Jacksonville market, which is among the smallest in the league and in a state that already had two NFL franchises in Miami and Tampa Bay long before the Jaguars arrived in Florida.
