Reports: Saints sign Julius Jones
Pierre Thomas has been out injured. Reggie Bush is on the shelf. And the New Orleans Saints offense is a shell of its former self.
The Saints are hoping Julius Jones is at least part of the solution. New Orleans signed the free-agent running back today, according to multiple media reports, putting him in a position where he can come in and complete with Ladell Betts and Chris Ivory.
Jones was released by the Seattle Seahawks earlier this season. Betts fumbled in the team’s troubling loss at Arizona this past Sunday.
It’s not know what roster move the Saints will make to free room for Jones. Maybe they’ll get rid of one of their two kickers.
