Rex Grossman splits first-team reps this week
John Beck will make his fourth start as quarterback for the Washington Redskins on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, but if he doesn’t perform better the hook could be coming.
Beck has been worse than Rex Grossman was at times when he opened the season as the starter, and Grossman was allowed to split first-team reps with Beck in practice this week, according to Mike Jones of the Washington Post, signaling that change could be afoot.
Grossman was plagued by nine interceptions when he was the starter, and threw four in three quarters against the Philadelphia Eagles. Beck has been more careful with the football, but the offense hasn’t produced.
Grossman has a better handle on the scheme and has more ability to make plays downfield. We’ll see if he gets another chance soon.
