Rex: 'I don't care about Tom Coughlin or anybody else'
After Giants coach Tom Coughlin responded to some of Rex Ryan's pre-game bravado with a reference that "Talk is cheap," Ryan went back on the offensive Wednesday afternoon.
"Well yeah, that's the old saying 'talk is cheap, money buys whiskey' I understand that," Ryan said via the Newark Star-Ledger. "And that's the truth but I don't care about Tom Coughlin or anybody else. I know what I believe and I don't care of it's acceptable and everybody -- I really don't care. I'm worried about my opinion, this is how I feel and quite honestly I could care less what anybody thinks."
Ryan is certainly selling additional interest in a game between two middle-of-the-road teams that will be fighting for their playoff lives on Saturday with his remarks.
But as Coughlin said, the real determination in this Battle of New York (New Jersey?) will come at kickoff on Saturday, not the pre-game chatter.
