Rex: Sanchez is not our problem

With four touchdown passes on Sunday in a 28-24 victory over the Buffalo Bills, the New York Jets are now heaping praise on inconsistent quarterback Mark Sanchez.

After the game on Sunday, tight end Dustin Keller, who caught two of the TDs, praised Sanchez's play. And on Monday, it was head coach Rex Ryan who was throwing around compliments about his quarterback.

“Mark Sanchez is not our problem,” Ryan told the New York Post. “He’s one of the strengths of our team.”

Ryan also took issue with critics who said the Jets were lucky to win the game against the sinking Bills, saying, “I don’t care if I’m known as the luckiest coach in the league,” Ryan said. “That’s great — as long as we win, that’s fine with me. But it is funny how if we make a mistake, we’re horrible: ‘Oh, they’re terrible.’ That could be bad luck there, too. But if we make a play: ‘Oh, we’re just lucky.’"
