Ringer may be out, could mean more carries for CJ
Tennessee Titans running back Javon Ringer was moving very gingerly as he walked around the playing field at Everbank Stadium before Sunday's game.
Ringer has not practiced all week with back spasms, and it appears likely he will not suit up in the season opener, according to TitanInsider.com. If that is the case, the Titans will carry only two running backs into today's opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars – Chris Johnson and rookie Jamie Harper.
Johnson had only a handful of practices after ending his holdout less than two weeks ago, and the Titans have said they don't want to overuse him. However, if Ringer is unavailable, Tennessee may have no choice, especially if the game is close and it gets to crunch time.
Also, it appears that Titans defensive ends Jason Jones and Derrick Morgan will not play due to knee injuries.
