Roethlisberger civil lawsuit settled

The civil lawsuit against Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been settled, according to the Associated Press via ESPN.com.

The case stemmed from a 2008 incident in which Roethlisberger was accused of rape by Andrea McNulty at a Harrah's Casino in Lake Tahoe, Nev.

No terms of the settlement were disclosed, but the original civil lawsuit was for $440,000 against the quarterback. Also dismissed were claims against Harrah's employees, whom McNulty accused of covering up the sexual assault.

The case was actually dismissed on Dec. 27, but only came to light this week.
