Roethlisberger practices; Pouncey doesn't
For a team that is such a prohibitive favorite on the road in the playoffs, the Pittsburgh Steelers are sure nursing a lot of wounds.
Not only will the Steelers be without safety Ryan Clark because of a medical condition that affects him at high altitudes, Pittsburgh is concerned about center Maurkice Pouncey, who did not practice Thursday on his bad ankle.
"I practiced the other day and toward the end I got sore," Pouncey told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "Today, I came in and my ankle was real sore, so I don't know what the turnout is going to be. Right now, I'm not practicing."
While Pouncey's high ankle sprain is a concern, it appears that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who did practice Thursday, will be a go on Sunday against the Broncos.
"He's moving around OK, not as good as he was, but OK," Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said of Roethlisberger.
