Roethlisberger to start for Steelers tonight

To virtually no one's surprise, Ben Roethlisberger will make his scheduled start for the Pittsburgh Steelers against the San Francisco 49ers tonight.

Roethlisberger has been limited in practice this week, but benefited from extra rest in that the Steelers have not played since Dec. 8 when he suffered his high ankle sprain against the Cleveland Browns.

Roethlisberger and the Steelers (10-3) have the opportunity to retake control of the AFC North with a victory, taking advantage of Baltimore's Sunday night loss at San Diego. The Steelers need to finish a full game in front of the Ravens in order to win the division, due to Baltimore's series sweep in the head-to-head matchup this season.
