Roger Goodell to hold Q&A sessions with fans
Roger Goodell wants to reach out to the people – the fans of the NFL – and find out what is on their minds when it comes to the most popular sport in the nation.
To that end, the commissioner will be listening to fans and taking their questions. Brian McCarthy from the league office tweeted that Goodell will hold the first in what will be a series of open forum Q&A’s with fans starting July 29 after the Green Bay Packers shareholders meeting at Lambeau Field.
Per McCarthy, 120 fans will participate and an hour of it will be televised live on NFL Network at 8 p.m. No topics will be off limits and no questions will be screened. The next Q&A session will likely be scheduled in New Orleans prior to the season-opening game between the Saints and Minnesota Vikings.
Goodell is also going to take a bus tour of NFL training camps next month and he’ll be meeting with fans as well as players and coaches along the way. It’s good to know the fans – who drive the popularity of the league – are being included.
