Roy Williams says Cowboys can run the table
The Dallas Cowboys have found someone to replace owner Jerry Jones as the organization’s greatest optimist.
That person is the player Jones has probably most overpaid over the last few seasons.
Yes, wide receiver Roy Williams has stepped up to proclaim that all hope is not lost for the Cowboys, who are 1-6 and headed to Lambeau Field for a meeting with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night. The hope is America’s Team doesn’t embarrass itself yet again in front of America on the national NBC broadcast.
“You know me. I think we can go nine in a row, if you ask me,'' Williams told the Dallas Morning News. "People can call me stupid or whatever but this football team has the corps of players and the supporting cast of players to win nine in row. We just got to get it started."
Just have to get it started. They’ve been saying that for nearly two months now.
