Rutgers wide receiver Leonte Carroo visiting Saints today
Rutgers wide receiver Leonte Carroo is visiting the New Orleans Saints today, according to a source not authorized to speak publicly. Carroo's ankle checked out 100 percent at the NFL medical recheck in Indianapolis. Carroo also has visits with the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots and attended local workouts for the New York Jets and New York Giants, according to a league source The Edison, N.J. native and former blue-chip recruit from Don Bosco Prep was an All-Big third-team selection last season who was named the Scarlet Knights' Most Valuable Player and Offensive Most Valuable Player. Carroo led the team with 39 catches, 809 yards and 10 touchdowns last season to lead the Big Ten Conference in touchdown receptions. As a junior, Carroo was a third-team All-Big Ten Conference selection who caught 55 passes for 1,086 yards and 10 touchdowns. He's the first Rutgers player to be All-Big Ten Conference in consecutive years, was a team captain and is Rutgers' all-time leader for touchdown catches.
