Ryan Grant says he's doing fine following bruised kidney

Green Bay Packers running back Ryan Grant says he is doing fine after temporarily being knocked out of Sunday’s win at Soldier Field with a bruised kidney.

Grant took a big shot from Chicago Bears safety Craig Steltz and linebacker Brian Urlacher and came out of the game. He was checked out on the sideline and then returned briefly.

I feel fine. I have been walking around. I finished the game and everything,” Grant said on WSSP radio in Milwaukee, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “We really don’t know any details right now. Like I said I feel fine. It wasn’t really anything major to it — just precautionary I guess. We’ll get some more information from the doctors on some tests later on this week.”

Grant ran the ball very effectively in the game and was more efficient than James Starks. We’ll get a better idea what his status for this week is soon.
