Ryan Lindley to start for Cardinals with Drew Stanton out
Arizona Cardinals starting quarterback Drew Stanton has been ruled out for a playoff game against the Carolina Panthers due to undergoing surgery to deal with a sprain and infection.
Ryan Lindley gets the start.
Lindley completed 16 of 25 passes for 260 yards and two touchdowns in one half against the San Francisco 49ers. Logan Thomas will back up Lindley.
“When you get experience in big games, and [Ryan] has been in two big games, it affects how you play,” coach Bruce Arians saiid. "I think he’s more than ready and I think he’ll play extremely well.”
