Saints issue counterfeit ticket warning
The New Orleans Saints have issued a warning to fans that counterfeit tickets are being circulated for Thursday’s kickoff game with the Minnesota Vikings at the Superdome.
“It has once again come to the attention of the Saints that, unfortunately, there are counterfeit tickets in the secondary market,” said Michael Stanfield, the team’s vice president of ticket sales. “These tickets will not be accepted at our games and those fans that purchase the counterfeit tickets will sadly be unable to gain admittance to the games.
“Each ticket possesses a special bar-coded imprint that cannot be replicated, and each season we see examples of people that purchase counterfeit tickets.”
Using the rule of common sense is always helpful when it comes to buying tickets on the street for sporting events, concerts or anything else. If it looks phony, chances are it is phony. If the deal is too good to be true, well, there is a reason why.
