Saints pass rusher Junior Galette to meet with NFL about arrest, civil suit

New Orleans Saints outside linebacker Junior Galette has a meeting with the NFL brass in New York later this month. The topic: an arrest for domestic violence later dropped and a subsequent civil lawsuit. The lawsuit is falling apart though as the lawyer for the accuser who alleged mental, physical and sexual abuse by Galette stepped down from the case after saying she was uncooperative. Galette could be subject to a six-game suspension without pay as a first-time offender under NFL policy, but that seems unlikely with the case dropped. "As far as the news, it's been good news," Galette said. "It didn't really look good on her part as the case got thrown out before it even got to court. Everything looks good and we'll find out at the end of the month. "I'll become a better person from it and a better role model to little kids. I'm not discouraged, I'm happy, I'm blessed, I'm thankful." Follow me on Twitter: @RavensInsider Aaron Wilson covers the Ravens for The Baltimore Sun
