Saints sign Kevin Williams, cut Harold Spears

Veteran defensive tackle Kevin Williams has joined the New Orleans Saints. They cut tight end Harold Spears. The six-time Pro Bowl selection visited the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks and New York Giants before deciding to sign with the Super Bowl champion Seahawks last year. He had 30 tackles and three sacks last year. He was signed to a one-year deal by the Saints. Williams, 34, had trouble finding a job last year after recording just 29 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 2013. For his career, he has 493 tackles, 63 sacks, five interceptions and seven forced fumbles. Follow me on Twitter: @RavensInsider Aaron Wilson covers the Ravens for The Baltimore Sun
