Saints try out running backs, safeties

The New Orleans Saints auditioned several running backs and safeties on Tuesday.

They signed safety Jamarca Sanford after working out M.D. Jennings and Kenny Phillips.

The Saints cut offensive lineman Eric Olsen.

They also worked out running backs Tim Hightower, Andre Brown, Brian Leonard, and Mikel Leshoure, but didn't sign them to a contract.

The Saints have been without Pierre Thomas and Khiry Robinson due to injuries.

Mark Ingram has rushed for 100 yards for three consecutive games.
